Adam Husler

Adam Husler, London

Efter hyllade insatser under 2017 kommer Adam tillbaks till Stockholm, denna gång utan kryckor och gipsat ben men med samma häliga energi och humor:)

With experience in the boxing ring, on ultra marathon routes, studying law and with 9 years of having a yoga mat in hand, Adam (500RYT) brings a unique perspective to his yoga teaching.

Adam’s love of anatomy has lead him to specialise in Alignment Based Vinyasa Yoga, studying at an advanced level under Jason Crandell. Adam has also had the pleasure of studying intensively under Budokon Yoga Founder Cameron Shayne and renowned meditation teacher Michael Stone, both of whom have hugely inspired his current teaching method.

Adam’s creatively sequenced classes feature long holds, controlled yet dynamic movements, intelligent alignment, mobility work and deep exploration of depth in postures. They’re also dogma free!

Based in London, Adam teaches regular classes and workshops internationally, along with online yoga with Udaya and Conscious 2

Stockholm 9-11 februari 2018

Till schema Stockholm 9-11 februari 2018 >

10:45 : Kung Fu Hips (Studio 1 Strindberg)

Prepare to fuse the vinyasa yoga, the martial arts inspired practice of Budokon Yoga and modern mobility science  in a workshop where we’ll we seek to gain functional strength and dynamic movement from a strong, controlled, occasionally playful (!) class.

Strength and flexibility will take equally important roles here, as they always should. You might be great a using your arms or a teacher to get your legs into ‘deep poses’, but how are you at moving your legs in to deep positions, solely with the muscles designed to move your legs? In this class you’ll find an answer to that and more

16:15 : Crown Your Pigeon (Studio 1 Strindberg)

This isn't about developing contortion skills worthy of a circus but instead we’ll focus on how to safely move into deeper backbends and how to safely elongate through the whole spine and open the shoulders as you do so. It’s as much about strength as flexibility!

Through this strong, but controlled, flowing class, we’ll be leaving traditional vinyasas behind as we  awaken our back muscles, find length through the upper body and work out how to undulate through individual vertebrae. The hips will get some attention, but our focus here is finding fluidity and openness in the spine, to explore the top half of king pigeon/full dancers.

08:00 : Back Strengthening & Spine Mobilising (Studio 2 Mälarsalen)

Twist’n’Lengthen: Back Strengthening and Spine Mobilising

When we backbend, we love to collapse in the lower back and squash the neck..because it makes us look like we’re going further. In twists, we love to spin the neck and throw the arm…because it makes us look like we’re going further. In this workshop we’re going to reign things in and begin to find evenness in the backbends, congruence in out twists, and strength in the muscles that are there to move us in these directions. The perfect class to begin your Sunday morning with!
