Michael James Wong is a man on a mission to break down barriers, smash stereotypes and bring the global yoga & wellness community together in a calmer & quieter conversation. Founder and vision behind JUST BREATHEBOYS OF YOGA & SUNDAY SCHOOL YOGA, Michael travels the world teaching and sharing the practice in the modern world. A community leader, international yoga teacher, meditation guide, acclaimed speaker and author of Sit Down, Be Quiet, Michael is recognised around the world as a leading voice in the global community.

A New Zealand born, Los Angeles raised native, now based in London, Michael’s passion is to inspire the masses about the benefits of a mindful way of living every single day, and create a focus on the power of community.

Michael is a teacher’s teacher, and leads 200hr & 50hr advanced trainings around the world in the UK, USA, Sweden, Australia, Europe and more. He is also the founder of the Just Breathe Meditation App, with guided meditations, music daily practices.

16:00 : A Hip Opening Workshop for Everyone (Studio 3 Small Room)

Join Michael James Wong for a 3hr workshop as we reopen the body, expand our practice and get ‘deep & meaningful’ in the hips. This session will share an understanding for healthy and happy hips, and guide you through safe and proper techniques to deepen your practice. The time will focus on the effort and awareness of slowing down, while creating structure and support in deeper poses.

 

What you can expect:

  • Anatomy and alignment for opening and deepening poses
  • A long, slow and deep vinyasa sequence
  •  A chance to ask questions and learn more

09:00 : Vinyasa Asana (Studio 2 Middle)

A strong and slow vinyasa flow class that will explore the power of the breath and the focus of the body. Come and join as we move together, flow together and be together. This class will celebrate the start to the weekend and bring the spirit of the community to life.

14:30 : Ladder Flow (Studio 2 Middle)

Join Michael James Wong for a Yoga Ladder Flow that brings to life the power of practicing together. One of the most exciting classes at the festival, this Yoga Games favourite is a powerhouse tradition for all yogi’s new and old.

Open for everyone, this is a strong vinyasa practice that combines set sequences with music that builds heat, heart and flow. You do not want to miss this!

13:45 : Sweet Surrender, A Restorative Practice (Studio 2 Middle)

Join Michael James Wong for a gentle and restorative style yoga class that invites us to slow down, be easy and let the body rest and recover. This class will take the time to move you gently after a big weekend of yoga. This class with focus on restoring the body with beautifully sweet music. A festival favorite, this class is a great way to wind down the weekend and spend time together enjoying the community and connection of the practice
